At Design Q Studio, we know what good design can do. Since 2007, we have built a reputation for designing thoughtful, beautiful creative for clients nationwide, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. OUR FOUNDER
Katherine Quan Ahmann is a D.C. area-based fine artist and graphic designer who misses good BBQ from her home state of Texas. After attending the University of Southern California, receiving a B.A. in Fine Art and a minor in Business, she worked as a senior packaging designer for Mattel Toys in Los Angeles and as a graphic designer for Shell Oil in Houston. She managed several multi-million dollar accounts such as Polly Pocket, Quaker State, and Jiffy Lube.
In 2010, Katherine relocated to Washington, D.C. to pursue a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. After graduating, she was the Managing Editor of Communio: International Catholic Review, a theological and philosophical journal.
Katherine plays the piano and has sung in professional choirs since the age of four. She, her husband, and children now live in the D.C. area. In addition to graphic design, she paints Byzantine icons and hopes to study traditional calligraphy and manuscript illumination. Katherine is passionate about bringing her twenty years of experience in art, music, and design into all of her work to create the best results for her clients!
